Accountant

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, prepare legal and business agreements, oversee taxation filings, and
ensure compliance with Canadian financial regulations within a fast-paced, multi-client production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and manage client/vendor agreements, contracts, NDAs, and related business documentation.
Handle corporate taxation: HST/GST filings, payroll remittances, T4/T5 preparation, and annual returns per CRA regulations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Oversee invoicing, billing cycles, and payment tracking across multiple client accounts.
Monitor cash flow, prepare budgets and forecasts, and provide variance analysis for strategic decisions
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation or candidacy preferred
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; media, advertising, or creative industry background is an asset.
Strong knowledge of Canadian taxation, CRA compliance, HST/GST, and payroll legislation
Experience preparing business agreements, contracts, and legal documentation
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills
Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Assets
Familiarity with project-based accounting and revenue recognition in a services or production environment.
Experience with digital invoicing platforms, cloud-based tools, and multi-client account management.
